It's Saturday night, and Brian and I are staged in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. We made the long bus ride yesterday, after finding out that the UN lost our names for the flight we requested seats on. Any wonder? We went round the team for warm goodbye hugs at the "Haitian Queen" (= HQ of Touch Global in Haiti)and realized how much we've been through together in such a short time. We reluctantly left our Rome City Teammate Trinity Kay - reluctant because we KNOW how effective and efficient a servant she is, and we are all the more eager to get her to Rome!
Arriving here, it's just hard to believe that we're on the same island.With its lush and verdent landscape, paved roads, relative prosperity, and being untouched by the earthquake -
this city in
this country is a world apart, next door.
Sunday we journey back to Rome. Thank you for following us along the way, and we ask you to continue to pray for the Lord's work in Haiti, and for us in Rome.
