"It is a myth that Europeans are no longer interested in truth. Yet their search for truth is hidden within the search for identity and community. Local missionary churches as visible communities of the Kingdom of God consisting of women, men, youth, and children trusting Jesus Christ in their daily lives are the plausibility structures for the uniqueness of the Gospel and its mission in pluralist Europe today. They will function as a 'semeion' (Greek: symbol) woven into the texture of European culture and pointing to the hope found in the sure promises of God. Europeans need Christian friends and communities that can show them how the Gospel works in real lives."
