We are temporarily staying in an apartment southeast of Rome. Maybe you've heard of Frascati, or the Frascati vineyard and wines. We're very close to the town of Frascati and it's about that time of year, time for harvesting the grapes. The vineyards really are lovely, and I've even seen local want ads for workers to harvest grapes. Maybe I should do that for a week! 
More news: Sarah started her first Italian course today. This is a photo from our outing downtown this past weekend, including a picture of the clock tower on the square where her class meets.
Thought you would enjoy this photo taken near the Spanish Steps.The big news is that we do have a verbal agreement from the owners of the apartment in the Balduina neighborhood. We're very happy to be able to move forward on this. We will begin paying rent in mid-October. The previous renter had just put in new kitchen cupboards and then had to move out on short notice. She is taking the cupboards with her! So, it looks like we will have some major work to do. We hope to move in around November 1st. Thank you for caring about these things. By the way, it looks like all of our friends will have a bed in Rome. :)

Yea!! We are so excited for you. Will you carry Sarah over the threshold? You two look like newlyweds and Sarah looks like a teenager - you two are just awesome.
